WIND

Provence is the country where Mistral blows.  It's a cool & very dry Northern wind affecting mainly the valleys of the Rhône & the Durance.  It affects le Vieil Aiglun but much less then in the neighbouring valleys (2 to 3 days per month).   Mistral can blow anytime during the year.  It always bring the temperatures down but is a guarantee of sunny, clear and dry weather.  In the summer, le Vieil Aiglun enjoys a  thermal wind which usually blows from noon up to the beginning of darkness.  This winds makes the high summer temperatures feel like ideal.
